Dandruff occurs when the skin cells
of the scalp flake off. This flaking is natural and occurs all over your body.
On the scalp, however, flakes can mix with oil and dust to form dandruff.
Dandruff cannot be cured, but it can be controlled.
Try frequent and energetic shampooing with any shampoo.
Wash hair daily if it controls dandruff.
If dandruff is excessive and itchy, try a dandruff shampoo
(such as Head & Shoulders, Sebulex, or Tegrin). Work the dandruff
shampoo into your scalp and leave it on for several minutes before rinsing.
Call if frequent shampooing or
shampooing with a dandruff shampoo doesn't control dandruff.
